Dartfish and the EIS prolong their successful Partnership
Dartfish announces the renewal of its two year partnership with the English Institute of Sport (EIS) remaining the EIS’ preferred supplier of video analysis software.
For the past two years Dartfish software has been used extensively within the EIS to help give both coaches and athletes live video analysis, enabling effective adaptations to training plans and performance. The prolongation of this agreement will help continue the delivery of world class video based performance analysis.
Commenting on the new deal, Paal Steensland, Dartfish Regional Manager, Northern Europe, states:
“As the EIS’ preferred provider of video analysis software, it is a privilege to support the delivery of their expertise to elite athletes and national teams in the UK. It is also a great recognition of our technology and the way it meets users’ expectations.”
Numerous sports in the UK have already benefited from the impact of video analysis. Sailing, cycling, rowing, archery and canoeing are just some of the sports currently utilising the Dartfish software and EIS expertise.
In canoeing for instance, EIS Performance Analyst Julia Wells has been tackling the challenges the slalom presents to performance analysis by using Dartfish software during training at the base in Nottingham and during competition.
“We’re able to provide fast information flow, giving coaches the video and data they want for race analysis” says Wells.
Working predominantly with slalom athletes since 2004, Wells has worked hard to tailor the service to each coach to ensure the results are maximised and to stay ahead of the game.
Stafford Murray, EIS National Lead Performance Analyst said:
“After a successful initial partnership with Dartfish we believe these next two years will build further opportunity to maximise success in performance. Working with one of the best analysis companies in the world allows us to provide world class support to the National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) of sport, ensuring that the elite athletes we support have access to the most innovative, comprehensive and user friendly performance analysis tools and techniques available.”
