Academies

Dartfish Academies act as centres of Dartfish good practice, promoting and showcasing the use of video in education within in their regions. By hosting training and delivering regular workshops/twilight sessions, they help other local schools and colleges to integrate video into their daily teaching practice. Ideally, an academy has expanded its use of Dartfish across the curriculum and can demonstrate its value in different subjects.

The Deanes School is an affiliated specialist sports college in Benfleet, Essex. At present it has around 1200 students on roll from ages 11 – 16. The Deanes School got its name from its location: it was built on the northern edge of West Wood. During the 16th century West Wood was known as The Deanes Wood because it belonged to the Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral. This land is still owned by the Church of England and is leased to Castle Point District Council. When the school was opened in 1971 the old name for the wood was adopted. www.deanesschool.co.uk/

"Dartfish has revolutionised our teaching. Pupils love to watch their performance and can instantly see areas in which they can improve. They are also eager to coach each other and comment on how friends could improve their performance. The software and remote control are incredibly easy to use and mean that Dartfish does not obstruct teaching. In fact it has meant that pupil activity levels have increased in lessons as feedback is instant.
The support offered by the Dartfish staff has been superb throughout with school visits and also individual technical support. Many Thanks to all the Dartfish team."
